Executive Magistrate Amit Roy said that as per IEDCR authorities, the staff of the launch had been instructed to stay in quarantine at the launch as the passengers or people of Dhaka were obliged to stay in the home quarantine.
On Friday morning, Assistant Director of Patuakhali Naval Port, Khwaja Sadikur Rahman, said in the first light that the operation was carried out with the executive magistrate after receiving the news that the launch was coming to Patuakhali. Disobeying the ban, the launch came from Sadarghat, Patuakhali. As a result, the launch should be anchored in the middle of the river for four days without being anchored in the port or river.
